Operations Manager

Flexible position focused on preschool operations and communication.


-Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the program manager is to help keep WNS running smoothly by providing resources to the teachers that will guide them toward personal fulfillment in and outside of work, as well as maintaining reliable and consistent communication with families. To accomplish this goal, responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

-Communicating regularly with teachers regarding their successes and struggles in their classrooms

-Monitoring and maintaining materials such as: classroom supplies, teacher supplies, craft materials, etc

-Rotating items such as: buckets for centers, lesson materials, etc

-Addressing minor to moderate parent concerns or updates

-Maintaining updated information in classrooms: class rosters, allergy information, etc

-Send parent emails weekly as well as reminders when necessary

-Manage incoming emails

-Purchase and/or approve the purchase of supplies

-Manage teacher attendance and subs

-Monitor student attendance

-Attend classes when necessary

-Help to plan and execute employee trainings

-Help to plan and run monthly employee meetings

-Attending monthly admin meetings with Brit

-Attending all location-specific events in August

-Plan and run parent and community outreach events

-Monitor and maintain registration

-Planning and communicating minor events: picture day, show and tell, etc

-Planning of 3 yearly school events, with help from TA’s: Parent Orientation, Spring Festival and

Graduation/Advancement Ceremonies

-Act as the ‘face’ or leader of WNS when necessary

-Willing to substitute teach or TA an average of 2.5 days/month

-Must be able to pass a background check

$650/month


Position is mostly home-based but will also require some in-class and event attendance


-Dates: 

12 month position

The Vineyard location will follow the Alpine School District calendar while the Provo location will follow the Provo School District calendar.  The only exception is for Thanksgiving when both locations take the whole week off instead of 2 days.  In-class attendance not necessary for operations manager position except for in cases of substitute teaching and some observation.  Specified training dates in August are mandatory for all employees.
