Summer Camp 2022

Registration is Open!!!

Campers ages 3-8 will immerse themselves in the magical woods of the Provo CLAS ropes course CAMPGROUND with Provo River Trail access The Campground is located about 1 mile west of the ropes course on the right side of the street right before entering the Utah Lake State Park!

This year we are offering 8 weeks of themed fun! Monday--Thursday.

Campers will be presented with daily play scenarios, games, stories, and activities that will inspire imagination, problem-solving, communication, creativity, and pure delight! We can’t wait to play outside with your campers this summer!

Space is limited to 60 students per week. You may enroll your children in as many weeks as you would like!

CAMP "NATURE ART"

June 6th-9th:

(Art and Creativity)

Let your creativity blossom as you explore the fascinating possibilities of nature art! This week's adventures will encourage artistic discovery and spark a sense of wonder as campers paint rocks, create nature weavings, make petal potions, and invent their own fabulous nature-themed creatures. Campers will also explore the forest, view the beautiful wildlife on the Provo River Trail, and participate in daily activities that will include storytelling, mindfulness, and singing.

CAMP "Wild Rumpus"

June 13th-16th

(Creativity, Imagination, and Engineering)

Let's start the summer off right with a "Wild Rumpus!" Inspired by the beloved book "Where the Wild Things Are" campers will embark on a journey of wonder and curiosity that will include whipping up wild creations in our jungle mud kitchen, creating homemade boats and conducting sinking/floating experiments, building their very own monster friend, become the "king/queen" of the forest by crafting their own nature crowns, making their own musical instrument, and capping off the week with a "Wild Rumpus" through the "Jungle". Campers will explore the forest, view the beautiful wildlife on the Provo River Trail, and participate in daily activities that will include storytelling, mindfulness, and singing!

CAMP "Outta this World"

June 20th-23rd

(Engineering, Creativity, Sensory & Wonder)

Hop in our rocket ship to blast off into the great unknown!! It's no wonder why space exploration is one of the greatest adventures known to man. This week will include rocket shipbuilding, and an exploration of the moon and other planets. Campers will hunt for moon rocks, create their own colorful galaxies, and discover how great their impact can be by making their own Lunar craters. Campers will also explore the forest, view the beautiful wildlife on the Provo River Trail, and participate in daily activities that will include storytelling, mindfulness, and singing.

CAMP "Mini Beasts"

July 11th-14th

(Sensory, Empathy, and Creativity)

Flitter and fly into a week buzzing with all things creepy and crawly! Have you ever wanted to weave your own giant web? Here’s your chance! This week will include an exploration of spiders, ladybugs, bees, ants, potato bugs, and butterflies. Campers will hunt for bugs, build their own bug hotels, participate in a ladybug release and make butterfly kites that soar with possibilities! Campers will view the beautiful wildlife on the River Trail, and participate in daily activities that will include storytelling, mindfulness, and singing.

CAMP "Junior Rangers"

July 18th-21st

(Creativity, Imagination, and Engineering)

Adventure with us and earn all your badges to become a Junior Ranger! This week will be all about exploring, learning, and protecting the natural wild of the great outdoors in our own backyard! Just like they would in a national park, campers will explore the land using maps and navigation skills to discover hidden treasures, traverse wondrous caves, and behold wild habitats. Through various activities such as making wilderness necklaces, creating geodes, bird watching, panning for gold, hunting for habitats, and even cooking up a camp meal in our outdoor mud kitchen- our newfound junior rangers will be embracing wilderness safety and conservation skills all while nurturing a connection to nature by practicing collaboration, creativity, mindfulness, wonder, and play. Campers will also explore the forest, view the beautiful wildlife on the Provo River Trail, and participate in daily activities that will include storytelling, mindfulness, and singing.

CAMP "Adventure Tales"

July 25th-28th

(Imagination, Engineering, and Creativity)

Make a wish upon a star and be whisked away into a different classic fairy tale adventure each day! Campers will engage in STEAM-focused activities inspired by the stories! Activities like engineering a house for the 3 little pigs, building a tower for Rapunzel, making a map and weaving a basket for Little Red Riding Hood, building a bridge for the Billy Goats Gruff, and even putting Humpty Dumpty back together again! Campers will explore the forest, view the beautiful wildlife on the Provo River Trail, and participate in daily activities that will include storytelling, mindfulness, and singing!

CAMP "Magic Carpet Ride"

August 1st-4th

(Gross Motor, Mindfulness, Creativity, Creative Movement and Art)

Spin the globe, and travel around the world to India, Australia, Mexico, and China! This week will abound with collaboration and creativity as campers learn fun new words and games from these countries. Campers will have the opportunity to join in an Indian color festival, dance to Mexican fiesta music, make Australian aboriginal dot art, and whip up new recipes in a marvelous mud kitchen for a Chinese New Year celebration. Campers will also explore the forest, view the beautiful wildlife on the Provo River Trail, and participate in daily activities that will include storytelling, mindfulness, and singing.

Camp "Dino Dig"
August 8th -11th

(Wonder, Collaboration, and Sensory)

Stomp on over to camp and step into prehistoric times! This week campers will dig for fossils, build a dinosaur playground, follow clues to uncover dinosaur eggs, design a dinosaur, and have a dinosaur picnic! Come learn how paleontologists uncover the past and find out what it was like to live in the age of dinosaurs. Campers will also explore the forest, view the beautiful wildlife on the Provo River Trail, and participate in daily activities that will include storytelling, mindfulness, and singing.
