WHO'S READY FOR SUMMER 2023?

WE ARE SO READY!

CAMPERS AGES 3-11 will immerse themselves in the shaded and quite magical world of the Wasatch Nature School Campground with Provo River Trail access.  Our campground is located about 1 mile west of the CLAS Ropes Course on the north side of the street right before entering the Utah Lake State Park!

This year we are offering 10 weeks of themed fun! Monday - Thursday.

Our cub campers (3-8) will be presented with daily play scenarios, games, stories, and activities that will inspire imagination, problem-solving, communication, creativity, and pure delight! 


Our bear campers (8-11) will be presented with collaborative challenges, games, survival skills, problem-solving, creativity, and confidence-building activities.


We can’t wait to play outside with your campers this summer!

Space is limited to 58 students per week (cubs) and 20 per week (bears). You may enroll your children in as many weeks as you would like! 

PRICING:

Cub Camp (ages 3-8): $145/week (M-TH)

Bear Camp (ages 8-11): $175/week (M-TH)

CAMP JUNIOR RANGERS

June 5th - 8th

Ages 3-8

Adventure with us and earn all your badges to become a Junior Ranger! This week will be all about exploring, learning, and protecting the natural wild of the great outdoors in our own backyard! Just like they would in a national park, campers will explore the land using maps and navigation skills to discover hidden treasures, traverse wondrous caves (imaginative), and behold wild habitats. Through various activities such as making wilderness necklaces, creating geodes, bird watching, panning for gold, hunting for habitats, and even cooking up a camp meal in our outdoor mud kitchen- our newfound junior rangers will be embracing wilderness safety and conservation skills all while nurturing a connection to nature by practicing collaboration, creativity, mindfulness, wonder, and play. Campers will also explore the forest, view the beautiful wildlife on the Provo River Trail, and participate in daily activities that will include storytelling, mindfulness, and singing.

CLAS ROPES COURSE ADVENTURE DAY

June 9th

Ages 6-11
9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Are you ready for an adventure? Time to get out of your comfort zone and test your courage and team-building skills!  Adventure Day is intended for ages 6-11 and will include challenges that are facilitated by a CLAS ROPES COURSE CERTIFIED GUIDE and chaperoned by a WNS Staff Member. Activities will include team-building games and challenges, zip lining, a ride on the giant swing, canoeing with a certified guide, and rock wall climbing. You won't want to miss it!

CAMP ASTRONAUT IN TRAINING

June 12th - 15th

Ages 3-8
9:30 am - 12:30 pm
M-TH

Hop in our rocket ship to blast off into the great unknown!! It's no wonder why space exploration is one of the greatest adventures known to man. This week will include rocket shipbuilding, and an exploration of the moon and other planets. Campers will hunt for moon rocks, create their own colorful galaxies, and discover how great their impact can be by making their own Lunar craters. Campers will also explore the forest, view the beautiful wildlife on the Provo River Trail, and participate in daily activities that will include storytelling, mindfulness, and singing.

Bonfire

CAMP JUNIOR CHEF

June 12th - 15th

Ages 8-11
1:00-4:00 pm

Campers will explore the world of campfire cooking way beyond s’mores as they cook with sticks, nature containers, foil, and dutch ovens. Bread on a stick? You got it! Blueberry muffins in orange halves? You bet! Nachos over the fire? Can’t wait! Yummy desserts straight from the Dutch oven? I’m hungry already! Along with collaborating and creating delicious campfire feasts, campers will hone their fire-making skills and learn stories about kid chefs from around the world.

CAMP ARENDELLE:

Snow Queens, Vikings, and Trolls OH MY!

June 19th - 22nd

Ages 3-8
9:30 am -12:30 pm
M-TH

Welcome to the North Kingdom of Arendelle!  Campers will be welcomed to the Enchanted Forest and find out the forest spirits are out of balance.  With the help of Snow Queens, Reindeer, Enchanted Snowmen, Vikings, and Trolls the campers must tame the spirits and bring peace to Arendelle again!  


Activities will include making hand kites, playing with homemade bubbles, scavenger hunts, homemade snow, obstacle courses, slime making, cork Viking ships and water play, cookie sheet sledding, games, arts and crafts, and lots of FROZEN fun!! We can't wait to play in the Enchanted Forest with your child!

CAMP PIRATES & MERMAIDS

June 26th - 29th

YO HO HO and ALL ABOARD! Time to go sailing on the ocean blue. Our Pirates and Mermaids will get to embark on a mighty treasure hunt, conquer obstacle courses, learn about map making, construct seashell necklaces and pirate hats, decorate their very own homemade telescope, engage in the sensory experience of sand art and sand play,  cook up some ocean themed grub in our oceanside forest restaurant, make their very own pirate and mermaid flags and so much more!  Daily activities will include storytelling, yoga, singing, nature walks, mud play, and nature play.

CAMP FOREST TREASURE HUNTERS

June 26th - 29th

Dive into the exciting world of geocaching with camp FOREST TREASURE HUNTERS! Participants will learn how to use a compass and GPS tools to discover geocaches on nature exploration adventures. They will enter the wide world of mapmaking as well as learn about constellations and star navigation. Campers will gain skills to create their own maps and geocache treasures for others to discover! Let's Go Treasure Hunting!

CAMP GONE CAMPING

July 10th - July 13th

Ages 3-8

Campers will be introduced to a real-life play scenario of camping! They will be inspired and invited to build forts, build pretend fires and cook up delicious dishes in their very own mud kitchen, learn about the wonders of the stars and create their very own star scope, learn camp songs, and build their own musical instrument, explore the forest, and so much more! Daily activities will include storytelling, yoga, singing, nature walks, mud play, and nature play. Let's Go Camping, campers!

CAMP ANYWHERE ARTIST

July 17th - July 20th

Let your creativity blossom as you explore the fascinating possibilities of nature art! This week's adventures will encourage artistic discovery and spark a sense of wonder as campers paint rocks, create nature weavings, make petal potions, and invent their own fabulous nature-themed creatures. Campers will also explore the forest, view the beautiful wildlife on the Provo River Trail, and participate in daily activities that will include storytelling, mindfulness, and singing.

CAMP BUSHCRAFT & FOREST SURVIVAL

July 17th - July 20th

Ages 8-11
1:00 - 4:00 pm
M-TH

Campers will immerse themselves in the core elements of wood, fire, earth, and water as they create delightful bush crafts (crafts and tools made from the wilderness for survival and enjoyment).  Additionally, participants will sharpen their survival skills with pocket knives, making fire, and setting up shelters. They will gain skills in whittling and creating homemade spears, slingshots, and whimsical woodland creatures. Participants will discover how bush crafting from natural materials can strengthen their confidence, creativity, and resilience.

CAMP MEDIEVAL QUEST

July 31st - August 3rd

Step back in time to a land of kings, queens, and knights- a place where dragons roam and magic is real! Entering a world of adventure, campers will embark with us on a medieval quest and become a knight or knightess through practicing strength, gaining wisdom, testing bravery, and learning loyalty! Our aspiring medieval heros will get to venture through knight and knightess training obstacle courses, dive into the wonders of medieval alchemy and experiment with potion making, defeat dragons, cross moats, explore castle building, and more! This journey gives the opportunity to explore the forest, view the beautiful wildlife on the Provo River Trail, and participate in daily activities that will include storytelling, mindfulness, and singing that promote our values of creativity, wonder, play, resilience, and collaboration.
